PROSTATE HEALTH
Every year, the increase of
prostate cancer cases in men has really become quite an issue, especially since matters of reproductive health is of primary importance to most of us. As the statistics on this little gland becomes bigger, so is the need to promote awareness on the basics of
prostate care. Recent studies show that men have the same rate, that is, 1 in 8) for
Prostate Cancer as women have the rate for Breast Cancer. Around 400,000 plus men each year have
prostate surgery, while 165,000 men plus each year learn they have
prostate cancer. Although the modern medicine that we have now is performing unparalleled "life saving" services for those who are desperately in need to have something scientifically done with the
prostates, there’s never a harm in coming halfway to protecting our own glands. Who knows, learning the basics of
prostate care and healthy living might be the very practice that will save you from more of these problems. After all, a healthy
prostate is of utmost importance to a man to maintain optimum sexual function including his ability to have children. It is therefore equally essential for him in the development of his sex organs.

The prostrate’s main function is to secrete as well as store a clear, basic fluid that constitutes up to a third of the volume of his semen. It differs considerably anatomically, chemically, and even physiologically. A healthy human
prostate is the size of slightly larger than a walnut. It is located surrounding the urethra just below the urinary bladder and is in front of the rectum and can be easily felt during a rectal exam. For all its importance however, it is considered to be one of the least studied parts of the entire male reproductive system. However, if not given its due attention, this small gland can cause major disruptions in a male’s life especially after the age of 50 where
prostate problems normally surface. And yet, even in that case, prostatitis, a bacterial infection that can cause painful urination and other non-cancerous
prostate problems such as prostatalgia or pain in the
prostate gland, benign prostatic hypertrophy or a condition of an
enlarged prostate can be some of the problems cause by the
prostate at an earlier stage in life. Younger men also, or those usually who are in their middle-ages may also experience impotence or the inability to have or keep an erection and urinary incontinence or the loss of bladder control which are all related to the
prostate.
There are many factors that can be attributed to these case but more often than not, a modern lifestyle of stress is usually the culprit. Add up to this the long hours of sitting, driving or TV watching as well as the overdose of stuffing in food and emotions. There’s also the complication of our extremely modern and quickly served diet such as eating in fast foods, fleshy and milk products, and a regular intake of sugar, caffeine, and alcohol. Outside our body, there are the environmental toxicity that is all set for the stage of chronic, debilitating and even degenerative diseases which includes the prostate enlargement or the BPH Benign Prostatic Hypertrophy and prostate cancer.
But then again, we cannot escape the modern world in which we live in. To avoid such prostate-attributing complications, it would be better to stay young and healthy along with a sound prostatic shape. And I’m not talking here about scrumming in scientific surgical pain or sweating it out in jogging pants, there’s actually a more potent, and shall we say fun, way of doing this. Take the most natural method of all for your prostate exercise its rights to being used. That’s right, maintain a happy and healthy sexual activity and you will do your prostate a lot of good since the rush of blood and energy, as well as the prostate's pulsations during your ejaculations can help the gland to maintain its muscular strength as well as freedom. Now, if only shaping our abs can be this good.
For other ways of maintaining your prostate’s health, get a regular exercise to maintain your physical fitness for what good can a healthy prostate do if the rest connected to it is falling apart. Also, manage your stress levels by taking activities which will serve as breaks from extended periods of sitting and computer work or what other work you have to do. I know you’ve often heard of this but I’m not gonna miss out on it – please maintain proper nutrition such as eating a low fat, higher-fiber, and more vegetarian and wholesome diets. Please don’t have excessive use of refined sugars, red meats and alcohol but keep up the adequate essential fatty acids. And of course, get in the basic nutritions of Zinc, Vitamins C and E and the B vitamins, particularly the B6 which are all important for your healthy prostate. A common litany, I’m sure, but when it comes to sex, its more than worth all of it baby.
